«Ratnik» for the Russian Ground Forces (Infographic)

"Ratnik" is a modern combat equipment of Russian Army. It includes several dozen elements and promising examples of small arms.

The infographic shows how a soldier of the modern Russian Armed Forces is armed, protected, and provided in combat.

The set of individual equipment "Ratnik" includes about 50 items.

The infographic presents one of the options for equipment intended for the Russian Ground forces.

The main feature of the "Ratnik" is its transformable equipment. If necessary the soldier can equip his set with additional elements, which will help him to perform various combat tasks in the most difficult conditions.

The set of equipment for the soldier of the future will include a promising small arms - four samples of new machine guns of 5.45 and 7.62 mm caliber.

The main body armour fully protects from the defeat of cold weapons, fragments of explosive ammunition and small arms during the conduct of combined-arms.

If necessary, the fighter can insert more resistant armor plates into the ammunition and perform tasks as part of assault units.

When replacing the body armour with the "Corsar", the equipment can be used by marines.

The load carrying tactical vest is designed for transportation of equipment items by the soldier. It allows for the rational and convenient placement of equipment items  in detachable elements.

The kit is designed to protect the knee and elbow joints of the soldier from blows when moving on the battlefield and action on armored vehicles.

 The Knee and elbow pads can be used in the conduct of all types of combat operations, including parachute airdrops and amphibious landings.

The military helmet is intended for use in the set of combat equipment for The Ground, Airborne and coastal forces, including parachute airdrops and amphibious landings.

The Raid pack  is designed to carry fire support equipment, weapons, ammunition, supplies, elements of mining equipment, as well as personal belongings of the soldier.

The backpack can be used during combat operations, with long transitions and raid operations in complete autonomy.

The headset with active hearing protection system is intended for listening to the external environment with the microphone amplifiers switched on in conditions of medium and high acoustic noise, as well as for communication with radio stations of type "Azart" P-168, P-169.

The Patrol pack is multifunction element.It is intended for transportation of ammunition, various items of individual equipment, additional weapons.

It can be used both independently  and in various sets of combat individual equipment.

The individual water filter  is designed to provide the soldier of all military specialties  with drinking water during actions in isolation from the main forces.

The filter is used for cleaning fresh water from mechanical particles and suspensions, decontamination from radioactive substances, decontamination from bacteria and viruses, poisonous and powerful poisonous substances.

The kit of autonomous heat sources is used as an individual local heating medium. It is designed to prevent the body from cooling over.

The modernized goggles  is designed to protect the eyes and part of the soldier's face from fragments of shells, mines, grenades, drops of chemically aggressive (non -corrosive) liquids and oils, coarse-dispersive aerosols, thermal factors, weather effects and mechanical damage.

The flashlight is designed for individual lighting of terrain and objects, as well as for supplying of light signals with various colors.

The multifunctional knife is intended for carrying out tasks in the field by the soldier of The Ground and Airborne troops, as well as the Marine Corps and special-purpose units.
