SET "LEADER" - Zenitco

The "Leader" kit is designed to replace the standard AK handguard and carbines based on it with a barrel length of at least 415 mm (incompatible with short versions).

  The “Leader” kit has Basis guides on four sides, allowing the installation of additional equipment compatible with Basis directly on the forearm (stops, swivels, buttons, wire clamps, pads, handles, additional Picatinny rails). To install Picatinny-compatible equipment, it is possible to install additional Picatinny rails (purchased separately) B-2, B-2L, B-2M, B-2U anywhere on the Basis rail.

  In the front part of the "Leader" kit there is a lowered part for installing the combined device "Perst-4": both a separate device and a unit that is integrated into the kit. In the case of work without the “Finger”, it is possible to install an ergonomic insert (purchased separately).

To install the "Leader" kit on a weapon, you must:

1. Perform an incomplete disassembly of the weapon: remove the standard fore-end and gas outlet pipe. Remove the standard trim from the gas outlet pipe.

2. Install the B-10L bracket instead of the standard forearm. For this:

2.1. Install standard fittings on B-10L. The protruding element on the forearm should fit into the hole for the ramrod in the fitting. If there is no hole for a ramrod in the standard fitting (for example, as in TG2), then the protruding element on the forearm must be sawn off. Don't cut anything else! If there is a hole on the fitting, it is not necessary to cut off the protruding element!

2.2. Align the free end of the B-10L forearm with the groove of the receiver.

2.3. Putting a wooden or metal spacer on the swivel washer, hammer the B-10L forearm into the receiver of the weapon with a hammer. Impacts are allowed only on the spacer. The fore-end enters rigidly, it is not allowed to cut it. The rigidity of the landing of the forearm affects the reliability of the landing of sights, thereby affecting the accuracy of shooting.

2.4. Close the checkbox on the forging.

3. Install the vent pipe. Lower the gas pipe connector.

4. Install bracket B-31 Leader.

5. Install bracket DL Leader.

6. Connect B-10L and DL Leader from the side using the Leader tie. The screed is screwed with M5x9 screws (longer). Screw M5x7 screws (shorter) into all other places of connection B-10L, B-31 Leader and DL Leader.

7. Connect B-10L and DL Leader from below using the Leader stop. The stop is screwed with M5x7 screws (shorter).

8. Install the Leader hook as shown in the images in the instructions. If the toe is tight, use a hammer and spacer.

The rigidity of the landing of the forearm and the brackets included in the kit determines the rigidity of the attachment of the sights, which affects the accuracy of the shot.
