The binocular observation device PNB-3 "Falcon" is designed to observe and determine the angular coordinates of objects from stationary and temporary observation points in daylight and at night in the light of spotlights. Excellent image quality across the entire field of view, high resolution and a large percentage of light transmission is achieved by using a highly efficient optical circuit and high-quality optics in the device.
The binocular of the device consists of two telescopes with parallel optical axes. The pipes are interconnected by a mechanism that allows you to change the base of the eyes. There is a goniometric grid in the field of view of the right binocular tube.
A control tube is attached to the right binocular tube to control the accuracy of pointing the device at the object.
During operation, the device is mounted on a tripod. To illuminate the outer scales, a portable lamp is used, which is suspended on a tripod bracket.
